MSI unveils QD-OLED Gaming Monitor lineup (CES 2024)

 During the CES 2024 event, MSI showcased its lineup of Quantum Dot OLED Gaming Monitors.

New QD-OLED Gaming Monitors from MSI at CES 2024!

The top of the line from the group has the model number MPG491CQP. It is a wide bezel-less 49-inch curved monitor with a QD-OLED panel, 5,120 x 1,440 DQHD resolution, 1800R curvature, and a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees horizontally and vertically.


By using the Quantum Dot tech on the OLED panel, MSI claims it offers more vibrant colors with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. MSI says it has 1.07 billion colors and supports Adobe RGB 98 percent, DCI-P3 99 percent, and 146 percent sRGB.


Meanwhile, it also has gaming features like the 0.03ms GtG response time and 144Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.


Connectivity-wise it has 1x DP 1.4a, 2x HDMI 2.1, and 1x USB-C. It has dimensions of 1,195mm in width, 328mm in depth, and 410mm in height, and weighs 10.3kg. Moreover, the monitor features OLED Care 2.0 tech to eliminate burn-in problems pertaining to OLED panels.


Apart from that MSI also has a number of QD-OLED gaming monitors.


Below is the list of the other models included in the group:

  • MAG 271QPX QD-OLED - A 26.5-inch size featuring WQHD resolution, a faster 360Hz refresh rate, and color-accurate visuals.
  • MAG 321UPX QD-OLED - It is equipped with a 31.5-inch display with 4K resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and color color-accurate panel.
  • MAG 341CQP QD-OLED - It uses a wider 34-inch curved screen with UWQHD resolution, a 175Hz refresh rate, and similar accurate colors.
  • MPG 271QRX QD-OLED - It comes with a slightly smaller 27-inch screen with also crisp WQHD resolution, but a smoother 360Hz refresh rate, and good color visuals.
  • MPG 321URX QD-OLED - For this mode, it uses a 31.5-inch display with 4K resolution, smooth 240Hz refresh rate, and similar great color accuracy
  • As you can see each model only differs in size, resolution, and refresh rate. All of which feature similar QD-OLED tech, and the 0.03ms response rate like the top-end variant.


Another good news is this lineup all offers the OLED-Care 2.0 to remove anxiousness from OLED burn-ins like that typical ones have.
